Gillman Gives Back!

Gillman Insurance was a proud Hole in One sponsor of the recent Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta 10th Annual Bigs Swing Fore Littles golf tournament! They were able to raise $180,000, which will allow them to continue the mission of creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Gillman loves giving back to our community in ways like this!

We hosted a coat drive for North Fulton County Charities and had a great response of donations. Then our office shut down for a few hours and we were able to take over all the coats, and help sort through a lot of jackets to help children, adults and families in need as we head into the cold winter months.

11th Annual Shred Event Success!

Saturday April 17, 2021,we had our 11th Annual Free Shred Event. We are so thankful for all who came out and participated. It was a fun morning, and we had a great turnout of cars who drove through to safely get rid of their sensitive documents. Special thanks to Alpharetta’s Maple Street Biscuit Company for providing warm coffee, we were grateful as it was a cool spring morning!

At Gillman Insurance Problem Solvers, we don’t just sell policies; we deliver solutions AND give back! We are always looking for ways to stay involved and contribute to our community. After all, we have metro-Atlanta to thank for over 25 years in business! In addition, we protect 75+ local nonprofits and take that job very seriously.

Gillman Ins Problem Solvers participating and sponsoring North Fulton Community Charities 2020 Holiday Program, which supported approximately 2,000 families in need during the holiday season.

Agency Owner, Ed Gillman, and his daughter Lindsey visited Creating Connected Communities tonight to assemble Back-To-School Smile Bags for hundreds of students in need. Thank you CCC for giving back to our community in such big ways…we’re glad to do our small part to help! #GillmanGivesBack

Every holiday season, the Gillman Insurance team dedicates time to volunteer at various nonprofit client events. On Dec. 17, 2019, we were able to provide Christmas to over 2,000 children in Forsyth County! Teaming up with our client, The Place Of Forsyth, at their Holiday House, we worked with parents in need to collect toys, games, books, clothing, etc. so that the morning of Dec 25th could be extra special. 🎅🏽 It brought us so much joy to be Santa’s helpers – a true highlight of the season.🎄

Senior Services North Fulton (SSNF)

Mission: To provide services and support for seniors to enhance their quality of life and independence in our community.

Vision: Our vision is a community where ALL older adults are revered, cared for and supported to live meaningful and productive lives.

Programs:

Pantry to You – we partner with the NFCC Food Pantry to deliver pantry items to the homes of our senior clients that no longer drive. For nearly 30 years Senior Services North Fulton has been at the forefront of efforts to eliminate senior hunger and provide additional care and support to the region’s growing populations of older adults. Our agency is a resource for all senior-related needs I the community.

Meals on Wheels – 1 in 6 senior adults in North Fulton is food insecure and worry where they will get their next meal. Our volunteers deliver nutritious meals to the homes of seniors who have trouble preparing, accessing or affording food for themselves.

TOPS Transportation Services – this program provides transportation to medical appointments and “quality of life trips” anywhere around town for older adults living in North Fulton.

Senior Centers – Our 7 local senior centers provide programs and services that enhance the health, happiness and well-being of those age 60+. Our centers are located in Alpharetta/Crabapple, Atlanta, Milton, Roswell and Sandy Springs.
